Southern Nash holds 1st Agriculture Appreciation Night

BAILEY — A robust crowd gathered at the west end of the Southern Nash High School student parking lot on Friday, eager to celebrate the institution’s first Agriculture Appreciation Night.

Inspired by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences tailgate held each year by N.C. State University, the Firebirds focused their effort on spotlighting local agricultural pillars and youth involvement in the industry.

“What better way to kind of showcase the ag in Nash County, in North Carolina, than having a little pre-football activity? So that’s what we’re doing tonight,” said Future Farmers of America adviser Kristina Brake, who also teaches agriculture at the school…
