GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily)— A man hoping to buy a car with $50,000 cash ended up getting robbed, but he chased after the crooks and helped lead Glendale police to make the arrests last week, investigators said.
Police said the victim deposited a settlement at a Wells Fargo near 91st Avenue and Glendale Avenue on Nov. 7 and took out a cashier’s check for $130,000 and $50,000 cash.
Little did he know that 23-year-old Reginald Chatman and 22-year-old Raymond Pouncy were lurking inside the bank and saw how much cash the man had, court paperwork said.
They followed the victim and his son from the bank to a car seller’s home near 83rd Avenue and Orangewood Avenue, which is south of Northern Avenue…
