YPSILANTI, Mich. // SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Senior Laura Nicholson recorded a first-place finish in the mile Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Ind. on Saturday, headlining a day in which the Toledo women’s track and field team tallied five top-three finishes at Notre Dame and at the Bob Parks Memorial in Ypsilanti, Mich.
Nicholson’s time of 4:35.61 ranks as the third-fastest in school history. She also took second in the 800m, crossing the line at 2:07.99, the second-fastest time in the event in program history.
At EMU, senior Samantha Thomas took first in the 400m with a time of 55.99. Senior Mayson Bates placed second in the 60m hurdles with a mark of 8.87, while Sydney Caddell brought home silver with a final mark of 5.61m in the long jump…
