GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. ( KREX ) – District 51 was recently awarded $50,000 in grant funds to help improve Fruitvale Elementary School’s playground.
The grant dollars – from The Colorado Health Foundation – will go toward a community planning process for “Fruitvale Wellness Park.” This will help both students and community members when school is not in session, according to the school district.
