Snow potential increases over the weekend as arctic blast approaches

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Expect a beautiful morning on the western slope as we get ready for an intense weather weekend. Highs today are expected to be in the low-to-mid 40s. Clouds will roll in for the afternoon hours, which is an ominous omen for the incoming arctic blast expected to hit Colorado, Wyoming and the Great Plains tomorrow. With these colder than average temperatures over the weekend, expect a higher potential for snow to hit Grand Junction and a slightly higher chance for Montrose as well.
