Michigan Red Cross team to help with wildfire relief efforts

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A team of American Red Cross volunteers from Michigan is traveling to southern California to assist with disaster relief efforts.

The American Red Cross Michigan Region reports that four volunteers will support emergency shelters, assist with equipment distribution and help reunify families separated during the chaos. An additional four volunteers will provide reunification support virtually.

“We are prepared to commit additional resources should the need arise, while still meeting the needs of our Michigan communities,’ said Latoysa “Toy” Rooks, Regional Disaster Officer of the Red Cross Michigan Region in a news release sent to 6 News…
