Similar to the first game of the weekend set, Grand Rapids fell behind after Tye Felhaber scored his eighth goal of the season for the Eagles a little past the halfway mark of the first. However, the Griffins responded early in the second, as Austin Watson ripped a shot by Colorado goaltender Trent Miner for his seventh of the campaign.
