Red panda babies born at John Ball Zoo leaving for ‘new adventure’

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Two of John Ball Zoo’s resident cutie pies are preparing to embark on their next adventure.

Red panda siblings Nima and Dawa were born to parents Wyatt and Wasabi last July, following the birth of their first litter of three in 2020.

But now, the two red pandas will follow their siblings’ path as they move to a new zoo next week as part of the Species Survival Plan. Sunday, Sept. 29, will be the last day locals and visitors can see them before they depart for a new zoo in the U.S…
