Carjacking suspect arrested after losing police, later being spotted by concerned resident

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI – A suspected carjacker was arrested Saturday after losing police in a brief chase and later being spotted by a concerned resident.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the Three Rivers Police Department in St. Joseph County was notified of a reported carjacking that took place in Kalamazoo County and that the suspect could be in the Three Rivers area, according to the Three Rivers Police Department.

A description of the stolen vehicle was put into the Flock automated license plate reader system which, moments after the information was relayed to St. Joseph County law enforcement, led to a St. Joseph County Sheriff’s deputy spotting the vehicle, police said…
