ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A St. Louis County man has been sentenced after he was reportedly caught arranging gun sales from jail.
James C. Street, 47, pleaded guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Prosecutors said he admitted that while he was a convicted felon and barred from having guns, he had three pistols and an AR-style rifle.
According to investigators, while Street was in jail, he talked about selling his guns. Authorities then learned Street sold a .357 magnum revolver through an intermediary, which was later recovered by police. When investigators learned Street was planning more sales, they did a court-approved search of the intermediatory’s home and recovered the remaining guns, ammunition and large-capacity magazines…
