Storms exit Wednesday, bringing in some heat relief

ST. LOUIS – 103 was our high Tuesday, a new record. It was the warmest temperature since we hit 104 on August 25, 2023.

We are not done with the storms just yet. A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for counties west of metro St. Louis. Storms dropping out of northwest Missouri have a history of damaging wind gusts, although there are signs they are beginning to weaken.

Scattered storms will continue through 8 a.m., with the chance of spot showers hanging around until noon. The skies will gradually clear Wednesday afternoon. Highs in the mid-80s…
