Packers Assistant Adam Stenavich Has Been Requested For an Interview With the Bears

If you can’t beat ’em, try and steal their top assistants.

It is an idea that hasn’t worked for the Chicago Bears in the past. But I suppose that doesn’t mean it can’t work out for the team in the future.

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reports the Bears have sent out an interview request to discuss their head coach opening with Green Bay Packers Offensive Coordinator Adam Stenavich:

I believe this makes 19 known candidates who the Bears have either sought an interview with or who have been connected by league reporters and insiders as someone the team has an interest in chatting with regarding the head coach vacancy at Halas Hall. Talk about casting a wide net.

Who is Adam Stenavich and why are the Bears interested?

Adam Stenavich is the Packers’ offensive coordinator and has been in that role since 2022. Stenavich took over as the OC after Nathaniel Hackett left Green Bay to take over as the Denver Broncos head coach. We all know how well that turned out for Hackett and the Broncos. As for Stenavich, the rise to OC has been quite a journey. Before taking that title, he was the Packers’ OL coach (2019-21) and run game coordinator (2021). Before that, he was the San Francisco 49ers’ assistant offensive line coach (2017-18). In fact, the OL Coach title has been connected with Stenavich dating back to his college days with Northern Arizona (2014) and San Jose State (2015-16)…
