$2,400 raised for local JROTC scholarship program

GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Lancer Capital Group Foundation (LCGF) hosted its first “scholarship shootout” event on Saturday.

The tournament brought in more than 30 shooters and 25 spectators, raising more than $2,400 for the foundation’s JROTC scholarship program, according to a news release from the LCGF.

“We were thrilled with the turnout and very thankful for the community support,” LCGF Chairman William Sams said in the release. “This event brought together people of all ages to support our mission of empowering local JROTC cadets, and working with Greene County Range and Firearms—especially Range Master Clifford Lawing—has been a fantastic experience. Everyone in Greene County needs to know about this place.”
