Budget Committee recommends $289K for EMS opioid outreach program

The Hawkins County Commission’s Budget Committee voted during its March 17 meeting to recommend allocating $289,570 in opioid lawsuit settlement funds toward an EMS overdose outreach program.

The funding will cover the cost of two vehicle purchases, training and the purchase of Narcan.
