NEWPORT, Tenn. (WATE) — A man is facing charges after he was accused of threatening an Amazon delivery driver with a gun.
James Cureton, 65, was charged with aggravated assault. He turned himself in on March 17 and was arraigned at the Cocke County Courthouse before being taken for jail intake. Cureton is expected to appear in court on April 16.
On March 16, Newport Police responded to a report of an assault. According to the police report, the victim told police while delivering packages for Amazon on English Street, a man in a truck pulled up and told him not to use his driveway to turn around. After completing his next delivery, the victim encountered the man again, who told him to not use his driveway…
