CHURCH HILL — Grainger jumped out to an early 6-0 lead and held off Volunteer to pick up a 6-3 Twin Lakes Conference win on Tuesday (April 1) at Joey Seaver Field.
The Grizzlies’ Nolan Wallace held Volunteer to a single hit through the first three innings to pick up the win, giving up two earned runs on three hits with four walks and four strikeouts. He was a force at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and driving in four of Grainger’s runs. Noah Larrance finished up on the mound, giving up one unearned run on no hits, three walks and four strikeouts.
