Rogersville native opens downtown Rogersville Gold & Silver

Rogersville native Andrew Garland recently opened Rogersville Gold & Silver at 201 W. Main St., Suite C, a venture that combines his love of dealing in precious metals with his love of his hometown.

Garland is a 1989 graduate of Cherokee High School. After graduating from the College of Charleston, he earned his master’s degree from the University of Tennessee where he now teaches in the School of Communications.

Garland’s Rogersville roots are deep. His maternal great-grandfather, Simeon Klepper, was Hawkins County register of deeds from 1918 to 1942, after which Garland’s grandfather, Harlan Klepper, was elected to the position and served until 1978…
