NEWPORT — Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 102 Commander David Kenney recently spoke to the Kiwanis Club of Newport regarding the organization and how it serves veterans.
Kenney and Larry Hartsell serve as the veterans service officers (VSOs). He explained they filed more than 400 claims with the Veterans Administration (VA) last year.
“These claims included documentation to increase veterans benefits, death benefits for families and just correcting any paperwork that needs correcting. We go with the veterans to appointments. As a VSO, we fight for all veterans no matter what their standing is in the community,” Kenney explained…
