Jackson and much of Central Mississippi is under a severe weather threat Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Damaging winds up to 80 miles per hour, golf ball-sized hail and tornadoes are possible until 8 p.m. in Central Mississippi, including Jackson. The NWS warns the same for the Eastern portions of Mississippi until 1 a.m.
