New Justices

MISSISSIPPI – Five new Mississippi Supreme Court Justices are slated to be sworn in on January 6th, according to a news release from the Mississippi Supreme Court.

The ceremony will take place at the Gartin Justice building that day at 11 a.m. Justices to be sworn inn include state Sen. Jenifer Branning, who defeated incumbent presiding Justice Jim Kitchens in the November election, as well as David Sullivan, who defeated incumbent associate Justice Dawn Beam.

Justice Josiah Coleman, James Maxwell, and Robert Chamberlin also will be sworn in after being re-elected to their respective seats…
