BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – WARMING TREND BEGINS
We’ve got one more cold morning start Monday before lows and highs begin to trend above normal. Grab the jackets for out the door tomorrow as lows dip into the mid to upper 30°s. A very brief light freeze could take place for localized spots in SW Mississippi.
A steady warming trend will be felt starting Monday afternoon. High temperatures will be 10-15 degrees above normal for the rest of the week. Morning lows will also be comfortably cool. Expect a very mild Christmas season.
CHRISTMAS SHOWERS
Rain appears likely Christmas Day. A disturbance will pass to the north bringing off and on rain showers through the day. The best chance for rain looks to be during the morning hours. We do not anticipate severe weather, and rainfall totals look manageable with most picking up less than 0.50″.
