American Flag at Greenville Camping World causes controversy with city

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Along Evans Street and Red Banks Road in Greenville, sits Camping World. Right now there’s a controversy with the store, not with their campers or what they’re selling, but with the flag that is flying outside the store.

City council members say the American Flag outside the store, is violating a long-time city ordinance.

Councilwoman Marion Blackburn says, “currently we allow a flag that is 216 square feet to fly and it can fly on a pole up to 70 feet.”…
