The Beaufort County Traditional Music Association is starting off the new year of music on Jan. 11 with its annual guitar festival named in memory of founding member and guitarist Don Skinner.
This year the free admission Don Skinner Guitarfest at Washington’s Turnage Theater will collect donations to help support continued aid to western North Carolina residents affected by the recent hurricane and flooding.
The festival kicks off with a morning “Open Acoustic Jam” session featuring BCTMA members from 10 a.m. to noon in the Turnage Gallery Room.
