Another familiar face is coming back to East Carolina to finish out his college career. Xavier McIver, who spent the 2020-23 seasons with the Pirates in Greenville, has announced his will play his final year of eligibility at ECU. McIver spent last season at UT-Martin before re-entering the portal, and finding his way back to East Carolina.
The 6-foot-3, 300-pound defensive tackle will reunite with defensive line coach Roy Tesh at a position of need, as many of the interior defensive line classmates he originally came in with – D’Anta Johnson, Elijah Morris and Suirad Ware – have graduated following the team’s Military Bowl victory.
