Warmer air will build in Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of an approaching strong cold front. The front will bring heavy rain and gusty winds at times on Wednesday.
Light raindrops will dot the radar from sunrise through mid morning Tuesday. By late morning, skies will trend partly cloudy with thicker cloud cover rebuilding as the sun sets. Highs will jump into the low 70s with the help of a south breeze at 10 mph.
Periods of heavier rain will move through from sunrise through sunset Wednesday. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible as well, but the threat of severe weather is low. Isolated wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible with a storm or two. Rainfall totals will likely average around 1.0″ in the rain gauge, with pockets of near 2.0″ for a few spots. Temperatures will again soar to near 72°, then the mercury will drop late Wednesday to the 60s and mid-50s.
