Man arrested in Kinston for MDMA possession

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Kinston Police Department arrested a Lucama man for possessing MDMA.

On October 3, officers conducted a traffic stop due to a seatbelt violation on Highway 70. James Kent, 25-years-old threw out narcotics from his window during the stop. Officers investigated further, finding MDMA and marijuana in Kent’s car.

Kent was arrested and cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, littering and a seatbelt violation. He was charged for possession of a schedule I controlled substance and taken to the Lenoir County Jail…
