Meth found in man’s pickup

A 55-year-old Forsyth man was jailed on Aug. 28 on numerous charges after allegedly fleeing Forsyth Police. According to the incident report, while officer Antwain Rodgers was watching traffic on North Lee Street sitting across from Truist Bank, a white Ford F-500 passed by driving north with a cracked windshield. Rodgers activated his emergency lights, but the driver, John Wade Pettigrew, allegedly turned right onto East Johnston Street without showing any signs of stopping and continued to the intersection with Indian Springs Dr. Rodgers said Pettigrew then made a left turn, running the stop sign. He also failed to stop at the stop sign at West Main Street while turning right.  

While Rodgers gave pursuit, the pickup was swerving inside the lanes, nearly hitting the curb multiple times and increasing speed. Pettigrew then turned left onto Martin Luther King Jr Drive without activating his turn signal. He then swerved into oncoming traffic and made a right…
