My Very Own Blanket celebrates 25 years of helping children in foster care

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — My Very Own Blanket is hosting its 25th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, October 10, at Creekside Conference Center.

“We are overjoyed to be celebrating this significant milestone- 25 years since my family and I crafted our first blankets for children in the foster care system. Little did we know that these first blankets would be the start of something so meaningful,” said Jessica Rudolph, Founder & CEO of My Very Own Blanket. “Our passion to provide and love to children and teens in need remains as strong today.”

Founded in 1999 and based in Westerville, Ohio, organizers say My Very Own Blanket (MVOB) has grown to an international organization dedicated to warming the hearts of children in foster care by providing them with handmade blankets and quilts, offering a sense of comfort and security. The organization brings together volunteers, community groups, and businesses to make blankets and quilts personalized with the child’s name, giving them something to take with them from home to home…
