22 October 2024- On 10/22/24 at about 11:15am Officers of the Hagerstown Police Department responded to the 7 Star Mini Mart located at 200 W. Franklin St for a report of shots fired. On arrival, officers made contact with two females who stated they had been struck by a vehicle pulling into the parking lot.
Investigation revealed that a Toyota Camry pulled in and struck the two females. A male that was with the women at the time produced a handgun and fired one shot towards the driver of the Toyota Camry. The driver of the Toyota fled the scene in the vehicle and the male shooter fled on foot. During the investigation it was discovered that a separate, uninvolved vehicle on the parking lot was struck by the gunfire.
Officers began tracking the shooter’s movements with city surveillance video but were unable to determine his last location. They were however able to positively identify him based on the video footage. Though the investigation officers and detectives learned he was in a vehicle. He was subsequently pulled over in that vehicle in the 100 block of N. Potomac St. He was placed under arrest without incident at about 2:00pm…
