29 June 2024- A second person has been charged with robbery and a series of other crimes on the same date as the robbery of a cash truck in Chambersburg this spring. PSP have charged Ceferino Charles Hernandez of Reading, PA with three felony counts of robbery, felony conspiracy to commit aggravated assault against designated individuals, felony possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, felony theft, felony firearm carried without a license, and two misdemeanor counts of unlawful restraint. There is currently a warrant out for his arrest.
Hernandez is wanted for his involvement with the incident that saw Chambersburg PD and PSP involved in a multi-county operation to find a van that was involved in a theft from a cash truck. He remains the second person charged with that incident.
Alfredo Cardona Padilla was denied bail back in April after Chambersburg PD charged him with committing an armed robbery of security guards that were conducting cash drop-offs and pickups for skill games at the Southgate Mall. CPD say in Cardona Padilla’s case that three men in total carried out the attack, which included firearms and one of the male victims being pistol whipped by one of the assailants…
