A 22-year-old Griffin man drowned during a weekend duck hunting trip at Lake Eufaula on the Georgia-Alabama line.
In the early hours of 5 a.m. on December 15, Henry County Patrol Deputies were dispatched near the island out from Thomas Mill Creek.
After the group’s boat drifted away from an island they were on, the young man attempted to swim out to retrieve the craft, but he soon disappeared. A search and rescue operation became a recovery effort, and dive teams found the man’s body in about 20 feet of water…
