5 people taken to hospital after carbon monoxide leak at hotel in downtown Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A carbon monoxide leak at a high-rise hotel in downtown Atlanta sent several people to the hospital Friday morning.

Atlanta Fire Rescue Department (AFRD) responded to the Residence Inn Atlanta Downtown at 134 Peachtree Street NW around 8:30 a.m., where they detected high levels of carbon monoxide inside the hotel.

The hotel consists of 20 floors and 160 rooms, and officials say 100 of those rooms were occupied at the time…
