EAST TEXAS, Texas (KLTV/KTRE) – Good evening, East Texas! After a hot start to the weekend, tonight you can expect clear to mostly clear skies with temperatures falling into the low 70s overnight. Sunday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 90s. It’ll be another hot afternoon, but a cold front arrives on Monday. This front will bring cooler, near-normal temperatures through next week, as well as a chance for rain for the first part of the week. Lastly, as we’ve been mentioning, there remains a possibility for a tropical system to develop in the Gulf next week. Tonight, the NHC is saying the probability of this is now 70%, a High Chance of formation. No direct impacts to East Texas are currently expected. Have a great night…
