PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) — The longest-standing debate in Pennsylvania may just be “Sheetz versus Wawa.” However, the expansion of one of the stores might end the back and forth.
On Aug. 19, Wawa announced that the chain is planning to expand into Central Pennsylvania, starting with a location in Middletown. On Sept. 19, a Wawa will be opened on the Harrisburg Pike, located at 1601 W.
However, Wawa has no plans to stop there. In a release, the store said they plan to continue expanding. Over the next five years, Wawa said it has plans to open about 5-7 stores a year as a way to adequately serve the Central Pennsylvania market…
