Connecticut lawmakers are considering new exemptions to the state’s ban on so-called “forever chemicals” commonly found in nonstick cookware, clothing, artificial turf and a wide range of other products.
Heeding the suggestion of Gov. Ned Lamont , members of the General Assembly’s Environment Committee voted Friday to draft legislation that would exempt nonstick cookware that is approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture from the ban on PFAS in Connecticut.
