HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — State police say a New Britain man nearly struck two troopers who were cleaning debris from Interstate 84 Saturday.
Around 2:30 a.m., two troopers were dispatched to the area of Exit 47 on I-84 westbound to clear debris on the left lane.

On scene, the troopers engaged in a “slow roll,” a technique where troopers activate their emergency lights and sirens while one veers across all travel lanes to slow down or stop drivers behind them so the other trooper can clear the debris.
