SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – At approximately 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Springfield detectives were conducting surveillance on Fernwold Street when an unmarked cruiser was fired at and hit. No officers were injured.
A suspect vehicle then fled before crashing on Grayson Drive near Fox Road, where the occupants fled into the woods. Multiple suspects have been detained and/or arrested.
Officers are actively searching for the remaining suspects, who are believed to be armed and dangerous…
