Man wanted for double homicide in Missouri arrested in Mississippi

WAYNE COUNTY, Miss. ( WHLT ) – A man who was wanted for a double homicide in Missouri was arrested in Mississippi.

According to Springfield, Missouri, police, 40-year-old Jeffrey Garrett, of St. Louis, was arrested in Waynesboro on October 14, 2024.

Lucedale man sentenced on multiple counts of child exploitation

Garrett was wanted in connection to the deaths of Jack Osborn, 46, and Melissa Evans, 44, on July 5. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action.

Garrett will be held with no bond.
