Flu death confirmed in San Francisco

(KRON) — The San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) has confirmed a San Francisco resident has died as a result of influenza (flu) of the respiratory season. It is the first reported flu-related death of the fall season.

Officials confirmed in a press release that the person was “over the age of 65 and had not received the annual flu vaccine.”

The name of the individual has not yet been released.
