(KRON) — A Hayward man is in custody after he was connected to the murder of his father, the Hayward Police Department said. The victim’s body was found in a dumpster in Union City.
HPD went to the 2000 block of American Avenue at about 8:10 p.m. Wednesday to do a welfare check on a father and son after the 58-year-old father did not show up to work that morning and was not answering his phone, police said.
