BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) — The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers aims to officially flip the switch this week on a major water filtration system installed at Asheville’s main watershed, the North Fork reservoir in Black Mountain.
The 350-acre site is what’s called a protected watershed with streams and underground springs that feed into it.
