Nashville’s ‘Most Wanted’ suspect arrested for child endangerment

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A fugitive on the Metro Nashville Police Department’s “Most Wanted” list has been captured after being added to the list one week ago.

Ernest Wells, 57, was wanted by police after an incident on Oct. 3 for reportedly firing a stolen gun in front of two children, ages 8 and 11, during an argument with a woman. Wells reportedly fired twice, barely missing the woman. During the second shot, the gun malfunctioned and hit the woman in the back of the head, causing swelling, reports said.

The children were in the same room as Wells and the victim during the incident, according to court documents.

He then grabbed the victim’s phone and destroyed it before he fled the scene in a vehicle with the stolen firearm…
