A juvenile bald eagle recently shot in Sumner County is expected to survive but will never recover sufficiently to be returned to the wild, and will be placed in a sanctuary.
Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officers Nathan Karch and Jason Shapton responded to a call about the injured eagle and were able to locate and capture it.
It was taken to the Walden’s Pond wildlife rehab center in Joelton for treatment, and when sufficiently recovered it will live the remainder of its life in a sanctuary…
