RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Stormtracker 8 Meteorologist Matt DiNardo was joined by special guest Captain Keegan Lemcke in the WRIC NOW livestreaming studio today to talk about fly fishing for panfish.
Lemcke — owner-operator of Virginia Fish & Fowl — talked with DiNardo about a program he does in the fall called “cast and blast” which provides people with a combined opportunity of hunting and fishing. This combination can create a little more logistical work from participants than the average guided fishing trip, but it’s well worth it.
“There are a couple of things that are required,” Lemcke said. “This isn’t quite like fishing where I can license my boat to cover licenses for other people. So for the water fowl hunting, every client is required to get a Virginia hunting license, a state and federal duck stamp and then a HIP registration — which just helps track… what you harvested that year.”…
