Ex-boyfriend charged with killing Maiden family may have been motivated by dispute, police say

MAIDEN, N.C. (WBTV) – A man charged with shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend and her parents and the family’s Maiden home may have been motivated by a dispute, police said.

Issac Christenbury, 27, is accused of killing Jenna Cox, 28, and her 61-year-old parents Charles and Cyndi Cox on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Christenbury and Jenna Cox previously dated, Maiden police said Wednesday.

At around 7:42 p.m. on Tuesday, authorities found Jenna, Charles and Cyndi Cox dead with gunshot wounds at their Maiden home on PJ McCree Road near Highway 321 Business. Investigators believe Christenbury shot and killed the three family members after a possible dispute between him and Jenna Cox…
