Although we’ll be under lots of clouds today, those Coachella Valley high temperatures will still be running several degrees above seasonal normals this afternoon. We see mostly sunny skies on Monday with dry air and highs in the middle-to-upper 70s.Beginning Tuesday, Southern California will be sandwiched between a large ridge of high pressure to our West and a developing closed low to out East. As isobars begin to tighten-up, Northerly winds will accelerate.Gusty Northerly winds will be an issue between Tuesday afternoon into Thursday morning. And — with low relative humidity — the Fire Danger will also be a concern during this period. The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for the Eastern half of SoCal between Tuesday evening and Wednesday night. Also, temperatures will cool on Tuesday as Valley highs will struggle to make their way into the upper-60s/lower-70s that afternoon.See images for details.@JerrySteffen @NBCPalmSprings
