Combat sports fighter Willie Gates did not know when he was younger that the fighting form would become his profession. Less so did he predict it would be something he’d teach his eight children as well as students throughout his home city of Fontana or the city of Colton.
“I was born and raised in Fontana,” Gates said. “I went to Etiwanda High School and graduated in 2005. After I graduated, I tried to figure out life. I went to college and took a couple of JV classes. One of my buddies was taking some Muay Thai classes at Millennium Mixed Martial Arts in Rancho Cucamonga so I started taking some classes, too — from there, the rest was history.”
