WASHINGTON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Homeowners and renters in Wilkes County with uninsured damage or losses caused by Hurricane Helene can now apply for FEMA disaster assistance.
Also, residents of some counties in South Carolina may be eligible for child care assistance.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency may be able to help with serious needs, displacement, temporary lodging, basic home repair costs, personal property loss or other disaster-caused needs.
