Calm and warmer weather through end of the week

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A cold front brought in cooler temperatures into New Mexico overnight. Temperatures will warm up again later this weekend ahead of another storm.

It is a calm start across the state with chilly temperatures as we head out the door. Sunshine will dominate today and allow temperatures to warm up, but remaining cooler than yesterday.

A warming trend begins Thursday and will continue into Friday. Southwest winds start picking up Friday afternoon as our next storm system begins approaching the state. The warmer weather will stick around into Saturday, along with the wind. Moisture from the storm starts moving in Saturday night. There is a lot of inconsistency with this upcoming storm system though. What we know is there will be a storm and it will bring in widespread chances for rain and higher elevation snow, especially on Sunday.
