GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – It’s supposed to be a beautiful fall weekend, which means it’s a great time to check out some of the fun and festive events happening around west Michigan!

After multiple years of rain and sleet the closing weekend at the Getty Drive-In, it looks like it’s going to be a great time! For those not familiar, “Halloween at the Getty” is becoming a tradition for many folks in the greater Muskegon area, and beyond and is worth a mini-road trip, especially with the clear skies and peak color forecast for the week ahead. This Saturday is the Getty’s final night and they’ll have free candy, prizes for best costumes and best decorated car and four “Spook-tacular” movie pairings geared toward all ages! A special $6 deal is being offered for the giant Screen One that’s showing the double feature “Hocus Pocus” and “Nightmare Before Christmas.” All other screens will cost the regular rate.

Switching from the lakeshore to Ada! Every year Pumpkin Prowl attracts over 6,000 people for family-friendly halloween fun. Check out more than 90 participating businesses and enjoy lots of fall and Halloween decor and photo ops, a Wizards Way Alley and more! The event is tonight from 5pm until 8pm…
